This letter is in reference to the excellent work and the service we received from David Galeote when he built and installed our IKEA kitchen in June 2011.
When I was planning our kitchen renovation, David was recommended as a possible contractor for the installation. In meeting with David in March to finalize the plans, we could tell we picked the right guy for the job. This was our first experience with a home renovation and David’s knowledge and experience (and patience) shone through.
According to his knowledge of IKEA products and his accurate measurements, we were able to tweek the plans and develop solutions for maximizing space while not compromising on the aesthetics and design for our kitchen.
When it came to the building of our cupboards, both he and his wife Cindy took the time to look for flaws in the products and would advise us accordingly on what could be salvaged or returned. For the installation, David took care to make sure doors were aligned and would gladly make adjustments to components that we were not completely satisfied with. When we fretted over what colour of stone to choose for our countertops he had rational and helpful advice.
As far as scheduling the installation and the hours of work, David was open and honest about his availability and when he said he was going to be there – he was. He was also very good about staying in contact via email or phone for questions about the installation or changes to schedules.
Furthermore, he was very helpful in recommending other trades for the installation of drywall, modification to walls and the installation of additional lights and electrical outlets.
Overall, we were completely satisfied with the service and the professional work ethic that David brought to the job. We would not hesitate to hire him again!
In closing and on a personal note (if you are a dog lover you will appreciate this), our dog who is discerning in the company she keeps adored him and was happy to share her space with him while worked away on our kitchen.

As disruptive as a kitchen reno is, it is hard to believe that we were 22 days from tear-out to granite counters, so the best $250 I ever spent was getting you guys to coordinate trades. Congratulations!
